In the lofty highlands of Georgia’s Caucasus mountains, villagers cling to their ancestral ways of life amidst a rapidly changing world. Over the span of two years, this observational documentary follows the dwindling community of residents in Tusheti that brave the winter period, as the only road leading to or from the region closes for 7 months each year — holding onto a sense of home that could soon be lost.
